Michel L. Lapidus is a Distinguished Professor of Mathematics, Burton Jones Endowed Chair in Pure Mathematics at UCR (University of California, Riverside),
Department of Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Mathematical Society (AMS) and Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences (AAAS).

His research interests and important contributions are in several fields of Mathematics. We discuss together the development of soft logic.
