Eran graduated from the Technion with B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Electronics and holds M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Tel Aviv University.

During 24 years of service in the Israel Air Force, he gained his experience in Avionics Systems Engineering & C4I system and complex projects management.

Over the last 14 years he has been involved in smart transportation and smart cities. Between 2006-2012 he served as CEO of the Israel Association for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS Israel).

In the last five years he is an active researcher at the Technion -Transportation Research Institute where he is involved in development of Complex Interconnected Systems Architecture for optimal implementation of ICT solutions at the domains of Multi Modal Transportation, Sustainable Mobility, Smart Communities & Disaster Resilience solutions. 

As a PHD candidate, Eran dedicated his research to the domain of Transportation Justice and multidisciplinary overview of sociotechnical systems development.
